Which Zodiac Mode are You?

Most people are aware of the four elements that zodiac signs fall under.

Fire: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.

Earth: Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn.

Air: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

Water: Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

Fire symbolizes passion, energy, and enthusiasm.

Earth is grounded and focused on the material/physical world.

Air is idea-driven, cerebral, and detached.

Water symbolizes emotion, intuition, and imagination.

But what do the modes of the zodiac signs mean?

Think of them like the attitudes or specific qualities of the signs. They capture the overall temperment of signs in the group. Each mode contains one sign from each element:

Cardinal: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.

Fixed: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.

Mutable: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces.

Cardinal people are first to raise their hand and volunteer. They show initiative and generally take the attitude of, “Let’s get things going.” They are ready for action.

In Aries this manifests as a healthy competitive streak.

In Cancer this manifests as a desire to be head of the household.

In Libra this manifests as the impulse to initiate social connections.

In Capricorn this manifests as the desire to be a leader in career and finance.

Fixed signs represent stability and the ability to stay the course. They take the attitude of “why not build on my strengths and preferences?" rather than make erratic changes.

In Taurus this manifests as the desire to build a home, and accumulate wealth.

In Leo this manifests as a desire to maintain social success.

In Scorpio this manifests as a desire to dig deep in the emotional world.

In Aquarius this manifests as a years-long pull towards ideas they are obsessed with.

Mutable signs symbolize adaptability. They are able to compromise and work in teams, and change with the world rather than try to force their will on others.

In Gemini this manifests as a willingness to change their ideas based on new knowledge.

In Virgo this manifests as a desire to adapt to the physical world, and the world of nature for maximum health and longevity.

In Sagittarius, this manifests as an openness to changing their philosophy, as they age and accumulate experience.

In Pisces this manifests as an openness to evolving emotionally based on their relationship experiences.
